Job summary

United Surgical Partners International, Inc. in Mississippi is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to join Gastro One’s ambulatory surgery team. The RN will provide pre-operative and postoperative care for GI procedures, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure safe, efficient patient care.

Some Saturdays are required. The ideal candidate holds an accredited nursing degree, an active RN license in the state, and BLS/ACLS certifications, with strong clinical judgment and excellent

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• Current, active RN license in the state.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• Experience in pre-admissions, pre-op, PACU or surgical setting preferred; willing to train motivated RN's.
• Strong clinical judgment and decision-making skills.
• Ability to prioritize and manage workload effectively in a fast-paced setting.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide pre-operative and postoperative nursing care to patients undergoing gastrointestinal procedures.
• Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to ensure a smooth and efficient patient care process.
• Monitor patients' vital signs, assess their condition, and provide appropriate interventions as needed.
• Administer medications and treatments according to established policies and procedures.
• Educate patients and their families on postoperative care and recovery.
