Job summary

United Surgical Partners International (USPI) is seeking a Full-Time Registered Nurse with a strong perioperative background to join our ambulatory GI care setting in Mississippi. The RN will provide pre-operative and postoperative nursing care, monitor vital signs, administer medications, and educate patients and families on recovery.

Some Saturdays may be required. Qualified candidates hold an accredited nursing degree, a Mississippi RN license, and BLS/ACLS certifications.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• Current, active RN license in the state.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• Prior experience in pre-admissions, pre-op, PACU, or surgical setting preferred, willing to train motivated RN’s.
• Strong clinical judgment and decision-making skills.
• Ability to prioritize and manage workload effectively in a fast-paced setting.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide pre-operative and postoperative nursing care to patients undergoing gastrointestinal procedures.
• Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to ensure a smooth and efficient patient care process.
• Monitor patients' vital signs, assess their condition, and provide appropriate interventions as needed.
• Administer medications and treatments according to established policies and procedures.
• Educate patients and their families on postoperative care and recovery.
