Job summary

Adventist Health Sonora is seeking a qualified RNFA to organize and facilitate patient care in the Operating Room. The role involves first assisting during surgical procedures, coordinating care with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and staff, and contributing to preoperative planning with the health-care team.

Requirements include completion of an RNFA program per AORN standards, California RN licensure, and BLS/CPR certification.

Qualifications

• Completion of RNFA program meeting AORN standards
• Two years perioperative nursing experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Performs circulating and scrubbing duties in the OR.
• Verbalizes surgical site confirmation before anesthesia induction.
• Assists surgeon with cannulation, decannulation, and tissue handling as needed.
• Documents nursing diagnoses, care plans, interventions, and discharge plans.
• Mentors and leads OR staff to improve patient care and efficiency.
