Job summary

Mary Washington Healthcare in Virginia is seeking a Level II Competent Registered Nurse to provide total, continuous, patient‑centered care for an assigned group of patients using nursing process and evidence‑based practice.

This role requires BSN (or ASN with pathway), at least 1 year OR RN experience, Virginia RN license, and BLS. The nurse will lead care coordination, participate in performance improvement, and support unit operations.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• MINIMUM 1 year OR RN experience required.
• Virginia RN license or reciprocal compact state required.
• BSN is required.

Responsibilities

• Direct and coordinate nursing care with interdisciplinary team to achieve patient outcomes.
• Coordinate involvement of patient, family and health team members in care and discharge planning.
• Communicate plan of care to health team members.
• Participate in improvement of patient care services and performance improvement initiatives.
• Orient new staff and act as a point of contact on policies and procedures.
• Contribute to daily operational activities for a safe patient/staff environment.
