Job summary

Paradise Valley Hospital, part of Prime Healthcare, is seeking a Staff Nurse in the perioperative (OR) setting. You will deliver direct and indirect patient care across all ages, coordinating with surgeons and anesthesiologists to ensure safe and efficient operating room flow.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN License.
• Current BLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current.
• Minimum of one year previous Perioperative experience or on the job training.
• Certified Nurse OR (CNOR) Certification (AORN) preferred.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Staff RN is directly accountable to the OR Charge Nurse and the Director of Surgical Services, and indirectly to the House Supervisor.
• Responsible for the delivery of direct and indirect patient care in the peri-operative setting through the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
• Coordinates care with the surgeon and anesthesiologist, directs OR technicians and other personnel while maintaining standards of nursing.
• Collaborates with other departments to provide continuum of care, participates in Performance Improvement activities and unit meetings.
