Children's Hospital Colorado in Colorado is seeking an Operating Room Nurse to provide direct perioperative patient care in a surgical setting. The role monitors the patient and operative environment to ensure safety and optimize outcomes across four 10-hour shifts.

The department is North Campus Operating Room; the position requires BSN, 1 year perioperative experience or completion of perioperative course, and active RN licensure with BLS/CPR, PALS, ACLS.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing required.
• One year perioperative nursing experience or completion of perioperative course.
• ADN with commitment to obtain BSN within 3 years may be considered.
• BLS/CPR, PALS, and ACLS from American Heart Association with at least 6 months left before expiration; RN license.

Responsabilités

• Consults and coordinates with health care team to assess and plan intraoperative patient care.
• Navigate and document in the EMR to support patient care.
• Work within scope of practice and delegate per Nurse Practice Act.
• Serve as liaison to patients, families and operating team.
• Prepare operating room for patient and procedure.
• Deliver patient- and family-centered care using nursing process with culturally sensitive care.

Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) with plan to obtain BSN within 3 years
