Job summary

Soliant is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join a surgical team in Birmingham, Alabama. This contract OR position requires an active RN license and at least one year of OR experience, with responsibilities spanning pre-op to post-op perioperative care.

You will collaborate with surgeons and health professionals to deliver safe patient care, maintain aseptic technique, document care, and uphold infection control standards. Competitive weekly pay and benefits available.

Qualifications

• Active, unencumbered RN license.
• Minimum of 1 year recent experience as an OR nurse.
• Proficient in all phases of perioperative nursing: pre-op, intra-op, and post-op.
• Strong understanding of aseptic technique and surgical instrumentation.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Detail-oriented and able to remain calm under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the operating room for procedures and ensure all surgical equipment is sterile and functional.
• Monitor patient vitals and provide continuous nursing care during surgeries.
• Collaborate closely with the surgical team to anticipate and respond to patient needs.
• Document all aspects of patient care before, during, and after operations accurately and thoroughly.
• Advocate for patient safety and uphold infection control standards.
• Provide compassionate support to patients and their families throughout the perioperative experience.
