Qualifications

• Active and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum of 1 year recent experience in an operating room environment
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) preferred
• Strong assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative team setting

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care before, during, and after surgical procedures in accordance with best practices and facility protocols
• Prepare and maintain the sterile environment in the operating room
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and surgical technologists to ensure safe and efficient case flow
• Monitor and assess patients throughout the perioperative process, documenting all care provided
• Effectively respond to emergencies and unforeseen complications
• Educate patients and their families regarding surgical procedures, post-operative care, and recovery expectations
