Job summary

Edward Elmhurst Health is seeking a Perioperative Registered Nurse for Highland Park Hospital. The RN will provide direct care to pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients during the perioperative period, functioning as a patient advocate and collaborating with the surgical team to ensure safe, timely procedures.

Responsibilities include orienting new staff, supporting educational programs, and securing equipment and supplies.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a state approved school of nursing required.
• IL RN License is required; CPR/BLS by American Heart Association.
• 2 yrs RN perioperative experience preferred; basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care to pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients during the perioperative period.
• Act as patient advocate and ensure patient safety in the surgical environment.
• Assist with orientation of new staff, educational programs, and maintaining supplies and equipment for care delivery.
