UF Health is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to manage individualized patient care within the nursing process and standards of care. The RN will perform assessments, plan care, implement treatments, and educate patients and families.

The role requires an Associate degree in nursing, a Florida RN license, and certifications in BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS. Responsibilities include coordination of care, direct patient care, and ensuring safety according to OSHA guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates care in collaboration with the treatment team to provide assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of services.
• Performs physical exams, health histories, nursing assessments, and routine observation within established time frames.
• Delivers direct patient care including administering medications, wound care, injections, IV infusions and other treatments while using standard critical care equipment safely.
• Recognizes and intervenes in life-threatening emergencies, including administration of emergency drugs and defibrillator or other emergency treatment.
• Documents assessments, care rendered, procedures performed and updates patient plans of care as condition changes.
• Provides patient and family health education based on assessed needs for health conditions, medications, wellness, and follow-up care.
• Adheres to OSHA guidelines and quality control methods.
• All other duties assigned by department.
