Job summary

Talented Medical Solutions seeks a perioperative nurse to assist surgeons and anesthesiologists, coordinating equipment, supplies, and staff throughout surgical procedures. You will provide comprehensive nursing care across pre-, intra-, and post-operative phases, ensuring patient safety and sterile operating room conditions.

Must hold an RN license in the state of practice with BLS/CPR; BSN preferred and CNOR/PALS preferred.

Qualifications

• Education: A.S. degree or equivalent required.
• BSN preferred.
• RN licensure in the state of practice required.
• BLS/CPR certification required; PALS and CNOR preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist surgeons and anesthesiologists during procedures while coordinating equipment, supplies, and staff.
• Circulate in the OR and maintain a safe, sterile environment using aseptic techniques.
• Prepare patients for surgery, including positioning and perioperative assessment.
• Provide pre-, intra-, and post-operative nursing care according to surgical standards.
• Safely operate OR equipment and handle biohazardous materials per safety protocols.
• Access and utilize electronic health records to support patient care.
• Promote patient safety through emergency preparedness, infection prevention, and hazardous material handling.
• Document tissue and allograft temperatures, verify package integrity, maintain tissue logs.
• Utilize downtime for chart audits, equipment cleaning, restocking, and staff training.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Education

Associate Degree (A.S.) or equivalent

Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN): Preferred

One year of operating room experience: Required
