Job summary

Southpoint Surgery Center (SPSC) seeks an experienced OR RN to deliver comprehensive perioperative nursing care for patients across the age spectrum in a new ambulatory surgery setting between Raleigh and Durham.

The role requires NL nursing licensure in NC or compact state, BLS on hire, and preference for CNOR with ACLS/PALS. Benefits include medical/dental/vision, life and disability insurance, PTO, 401k match, and tuition assistance. A $15,000 sign-on is available for full-time RN candidates.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing; Associate's degree required; BSN preferred
• Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in North Carolina or compact multi-state license
• BLS from AHA or ARC required on hire
• ACLS & PALS from AHA or ARC preferred; must obtain within 6 months if not active
• CNOR Certification strongly preferred
• Familiar with perioperative instruments and equipment
• Ability to demonstrate manual dexterity in handling instruments
• Excellent communication skills and teamwork in a multidisciplinary setting

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized nursing care to surgical patients across age groups, coordinating a safe plan of care
• Apply age-specific standards for medications and perioperative care
• Incorporate cultural and developmental needs into the plan of care
• Maintain excellent organization, documentation, and patient safety
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, SPD, and OR staff for optimal patient outcomes
• Participate in performance improvement activities and policy development
