Job summary

Wellstar Health System in Marietta, GA is seeking a registered nurse to join our Day shift team. The role is full-time 4x10’s (7a-5:30p) with on-call responsibilities, delivering high-quality patient care across vascular and imaging services.

You will support the nursing process, perform clinical procedures, and collaborate with physicians, technicians and staff to optimize patient outcomes. Candidates should have an Associate's degree in nursing or higher, and hold an active RN license (US).

Qualifications

• Associates degree or Diploma in Nursing required; Bachelor's preferred.
• Active RN license (single-state or multi-state compact) required.
• ACLS and BLS certifications required on hire.
• Experience in peri-operative/ICU/ED settings is valued.

Responsibilities

• Provide pre and post procedure patient care for invasive and surgical procedures.
• Administer contrast and manage dose preparation according to weight and physician orders.
• Perform conscious sedation per policy and procedure; maintain sterile technique.
• Coordinate patient transport, comfort, privacy, and accurate documentation.
• Maintain ongoing education of patients and families and support quality/safety initiatives.
