Job summary

East Liverpool City Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse to join the perioperative team, delivering direct and indirect patient care across neonatal to older adult patients in the operating room. You will coordinate with the surgeon and anesthesiologist and guide OR staff, while upholding professional nursing standards.

The role requires active state RN licensure, BLS/ACLS/PALS certificates, and at least one year of perioperative experience; CNOR certification and a BSN are preferred.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN License.
• Current BLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current.
• Current ACLS (AHA) certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current.
• Current PALS (AHA) certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current.
• Minimum of one year previous Perioperative experience or on the job training.
• Certified Nurse OR (CNOR) Certification (AORN) preferred.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Staff RN is responsible for delivery of direct and indirect patient care in the peri-operative setting through the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation.
• Coordinates the care of the patient with the surgeon and anesthesiologist, directs and guides the OR Technician and other personnel.
• Maintains standards of professional nursing and works with other departments to provide a continuum of care and co-workers to ensure continuous, quality patient care.
• Participates in Performance Improvement activities, unit meetings and in-services.
• Acts as a resource for other personnel as appropriate.
