Job summary

Apploi is seeking a Perioperative Registered Nurse (PACU RN) to evaluate, plan, implement, and document pre-operative and acute post-operative care in a Kansas facility.

The role requires Kansas RN licensure, 6 months’ acute care experience, and familiarity with perioperative protocols. A sign-on bonus may be available; expect collaborative teamwork with surgeons, anesthesia staff, and perioperative team in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Associate of Nursing degree or equivalent; BSN preferred.
• 6 months RN experience in an acute hospital; PACU or ER experience preferred.
• Licensed in the State of Kansas as a Registered Nurse; ACLS & PALS within 6 months of hiring.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate surgical patient care in the pre-operative and post-operative setting.
• Assess patient understanding of plan of care and facilitate post-operative care.
• Follow medication administration protocols and ensure the 5 rights are met.
• Communicate patient information to doctors and staff as needed.
• Document concerns and actions; implement care plans.
• Monitor patient status and vital signs; respond to changes in condition.
• Perform admissions, dismissals, and peri-operative assessments as appropriate.
• Provide postoperative education to patients and families.
• Maintain HIPAA confidentiality and professional conduct.
