Job summary

Allegheny Health Network’s West Penn Hospital is seeking a part-time Registered Nurse to support inpatient care in the PACU and related units. The role emphasizes coordination with surgeons and anesthesia to ensure safe transitions of care and maintains high standards of patient safety.

The RN will assess patients, interpret cardiac rhythms, manage BP and pain, and collaborate with the care team to ensure timely, effective post-operative recovery.

Qualifications

• Minimum Current State of PA RN licensure OR Current multi-state licensure through the enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact (eNLC).
• Preferred Certification in area of specialty
• 1 year or more of inpatient RN experience, including telemetry and cardiac monitoring

Responsibilities

• Provides leadership in a professional practice setting.
• Collaborates with surgeons, anesthesia, and units to coordinate safe transition of care for patients.
• Utilizes nursing process to assess, plan, and evaluate patient care.
• Promotes patient safety initiatives and participates in quality improvement efforts.
• Meets time and attendance guidelines per hospital policy.
