Job summary

Allegheny Health Network is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for the Post-Anesthesia Care Unit at Saint Vincent Hospital. The PACU cares for patients undergoing a variety of surgeries with a focus on rapid assessment, collaborative care, and critical post-anesthesia monitoring.

The RN will provide leadership in nursing practice, participate in interdisciplinary teams, and ensure patient safety and high-quality care in a fast-paced environment with on-call requirements for nights/weekends.

Qualifications

• Current State of PA RN licensure or multi-state licensure through eNLC.

Responsibilities

• Provides leadership in a professional practice setting and collaborates with interdisciplinary teams.
• Assesses patient status and plans, implements, and evaluates nursing care.
• Ensures patient safety and adherence to HIPAA and hospital policies.
• Delivers patient- and family-centered care with culturally appropriate communication.
• Maintains documentation and participates in quality improvement initiatives.
