Job summary

Qualifications

• RN license (state or compact) required.
• BLS certification within six weeks of hire.
• Mandatory Reporter training completed within three months.
• Ability to read, write and speak English.

Responsibilities

• Scrubs and circulates on cases independently with minimal direction.
• Prepares for surgical cases efficiently, anticipating needs of patient, surgeon, and OR team.
• Maintains aseptic technique and safe operating room environment.
• Collects and analyzes data to assess patient needs and nursing diagnoses.
• Communicates effectively with patient, staff, physicians and families.
• Initiates and directs room turnover and cleanup.
