Qualifications

• Active RN license in TX or compact license in good standing.
• Current BLS required; ACLS preferred or required within facility timeframe.
• OR/perioperative, PACU, or procedural nursing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide perioperative nursing care before, during, and after surgical procedures.
• Serve as circulating nurse and advocate for the patient throughout the case.
• Verify identity, consent, procedure, site marking, positioning, allergies, implants, equipment, and documentation.
• Coordinate with surgeons, anesthesia, surgical technologists, sterile processing, PACU, and support departments.
• Monitor patient condition, communicate concerns, and document counts, medications, implants, specimens, and events.
