Job summary

Vanderbilt Health in Nashville invites experienced RNs to join the Perioperative OR Internship Program scheduled for March 1–May 28, 2027. The program runs about 12 weeks, Monday through Friday, with hours from 6:45 a.m.

to 3:15 p.m., and requires active RN licensure and a prior nursing program completion. Selected candidates will be Vanderbilt Health employees during the internship, receive competitive compensation and benefits, and gain exposure to perioperative patient care in an OR setting

Qualifications

• Minimum one year nursing experience, preferably ICU or Med Surg.
• Active RN license at time of application.
• Completed nursing program from an approved school.

Responsibilities

• Collaborates to establish plan of care and coordinates delivery across the care continuum.
• Analyzes patient information to determine nursing diagnoses and actions.
• Evaluates patient progress and applies appropriate interventions to meet goals.
• Promotes health and a safe environment and communicates with the care team.
