Vanderbilt Health is offering an OR Internship Program for experienced RNs, scheduled March 1–May 28, 2027. Applications open Sept 14–Nov 7, 2026.

The program lasts about 12 weeks (Mon-Fri, roughly 6:45 a.m.–3:15 p.m.) and targets RNs who wish to work in an OR setting with adult patients at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. Selected candidates become full-time Vanderbilt Health employees with competitive compensation and benefits.

Qualifications

• Must hold an active RN license.
• Completion of an approved nursing program is required.
• One year nursing experience preferred (ICU or Med/Surg).

Responsibilities

• Collaborates in establishing the plan of care, coordinates and implements care delivery across the continuum.
• Analyzes information to determine nursing diagnoses.
• Continuously applies the nursing process to evaluate progress and adjust care.
• Promotes health and a safe environment for patients, families and staff.
• Additional duties may be assigned as needed.
