Vanderbilt University Medical Center is hosting the Perioperative OR Internship Program for March 2027. This program targets experienced RNs (minimum one year in ICU or Med Surg) who want to gain OR experience with adult patients.

The 12-week program runs Monday through Friday, roughly 6:45 a.m.–3:15 p.m., and selected participants become Vanderbilt Health employees with competitive compensation and benefits.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year nursing experience, preferably ICU or Med Surg.
• Active RN license at time of application.

Responsibilities

• Collaborates in establishing the plan of care, coordinates and implements care delivery while anticipating patient care needs across the continuum.
• Analyzes comprehensive information pertinent to the patient’s care and management to determine nursing diagnosis.
• Continually utilizes the nursing process to evaluate patient progress towards goals and applies appropriate interventions to ensure effective outcomes.
• Employs strategies to promote health and a safe and healthy environment.
