Job summary

St. Francis Medical Center in Los Angeles is seeking a Staff RN for the peri-operative setting. The RN will deliver direct and indirect patient care, coordinate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and OR staff, and ensure adherence to regulatory standards and unit policies.

Responsibilities include supporting performance improvement activities and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to maintain a smooth, safe perioperative workflow for all age groups. Full-time Days shift.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN License.
• Current BLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current.
• Current ACLS (AHA) certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current.
• Current PALS (AHA) certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current.
• Minimum of one year previous Perioperative experience or on the job training
• Certified Nurse OR (CNOR) Certification (AORN) preferred
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Delivery of direct and indirect patient care in the peri-operative setting.
• Coordinate care with the surgeon and anesthesiologist; guide the OR team.
• Maintain standards of professional nursing and adherence to regulations and policies.
• Participate in Performance Improvement activities, unit meetings and in-services.
