Job summary

Children's National Medical Center is seeking an experienced OR Clinical Coordinator to initiate and support perioperative work that maximizes quality, safety, and services. The role serves as the primary clinical resource to the OR team in the designated specialty and collaborates with physicians to facilitate perioperative services.

The ideal candidate holds a BSN (preferred) and has at least 4 years of OR RN experience, with CNOR preferred.

Qualifications

• RN licensed in District of Columbia.
• BSN preferred or higher.
• Minimum 4 years OR nursing experience.
• Leadership experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize and direct the perioperative specialty service to ensure case readiness.
• Act as primary interface between surgeon and OR team for designated specialty.
• Communicate with physicians to plan resource needs and utilization.
• Ensure equipment, instruments and supplies are available and ready for cases.
• Promote patient safety, quality and professional nursing practice within the OR.
