Job summary

MedStar Georgetown University Hospital in Washington, DC, seeks a senior nurse leader to guide perioperative services in the Verstandig Pavilion, a state-of-the-art surgical campus.

Lead a multidisciplinary team, drive safe, efficient care across OR, PACU, and pre-op, and partner with anesthesia, physicians, and nursing leadership in a Magnet-recognized academic setting. A focus on mentoring and staff development is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from a nationally accredited program required.
• Master’s degree in Nursing or health-related field preferred.
• Minimum of three years nursing leadership in operating room; OR leadership preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team that supports one of the region's most comprehensive surgical service lines.
• Coordinate delivery of safe, efficient, high-quality perioperative care.
• Recruit, mentor, and retain top nursing talent and promote shared decision-making.
