Job summary

University of Wisconsin Hospitals and Clinics Authority is seeking a Nursing Assistant (CNA/NA) to support the Pre/Post PACU team by delivering direct patient care to surgical patients. This role works 100% FTE, Monday–Friday, with shifts between 5am and 6pm, and may vary by department needs.

In addition to patient care, the CNA will assist with activities of daily living, repositioning, transfers, and mobility, while engaging patients and families in a compassionate, respectful manner.

Qualifications

• Graduate of State of Wisconsin Approved Nursing Assistant program required.
• 1 year recent experience as a Nursing Assistant preferred.
• Listed on the Wisconsin Nurse Assistant/Home Health Aid Registry upon hire required.
• BLS/CPR certification within 3 months required.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct physical care and basic nursing procedures.
• Assist with activities of daily living, repositioning, transfers, and patient mobility.
• Interact with visitors, patients, and family to establish trust and deliver high quality care.
