Job summary

MaineHealth Scarborough Surgery Center is seeking a Clinical Nurse 2 for a part-time RN position (30 hours per week, 3-10 shifts). This role provides preoperative and postoperative PACU/ASU care for adults and pediatric patients, with access to multiple operating and pre/postoperative spaces.

Qualifications

• BSN preferred and ongoing education per year.
• Current RN license in Maine; relevant specialty certification preferred.
• At least 1 year RN experience.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to identify changes in patients’ conditions and initiate action.
• Care for diverse patient populations with a healing approach.

Responsibilities

• Assess, diagnose, plan, implement, document, and evaluate nursing care.
• Provide preoperative and postoperative PACU/ASU care.
• Coordinate care across inpatient, outpatient, ambulatory and community settings.
