Job summary

MaineHealth Accountable Care Organization is seeking a Clinical Nurse (RN) for the ASU/PACU at Scarborough Surgery Center in Scarborough, ME. This part-time role offers day shifts with approximately 30 hours per week, focusing on/outpatient and inpatient perioperative care for adults and pediatric patients.

Qualifications

• BSN preferred; evidence of 10 hours of ongoing education per year.
• Current Maine RN license; relevant specialty certification preferred.
• At least 1 year RN experience.
• Basic nursing knowledge per national standards.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with patients and care team.
• Analytical ability to identify changes in patient conditions and take action.
• Ability to respond to potential crises with appropriate action.
• Demonstrates compassionate, patient- and family-centered care.
• Knowledge to care for most patient populations on the unit.

Responsibilities

• Assess, diagnose, identify outcomes, plan, implement, document, and evaluate nursing care.
• Coordinate care across inpatient, outpatient, ambulatory, and community settings.
• Begin care delivery from initial health system contact and continue across continuum.
