Job summary

CHRISTUS Health is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse with perioperative experience to join our team. The role involves independent practice in a perioperative setting, delivering routine and complex care while coordinating assignments and delegating to other care providers as needed.

Qualifications include a BSN (preferred), 1 year of related nursing experience, and active RN license for the state or a compact license. ACLS and PALS (as required for CHILDREN'S) are required.

Qualifications

• BSN preferred.
• 1 year of experience in the related nursing specialty preferred.
• BLS required.
• RN License in state of employment or compact.
• ACLS certification required.
• PALS certification required at CH Children's only.

Responsibilities

• Provides nursing care utilizing the nursing process: assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention and evaluation for assigned patients.
• Administers medications and treatments; monitors for side-effects and effectiveness.
• Documents patient history, symptoms, medication and care given.
• Addresses learning needs and provides education to patients and families.
