Job summary

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program with BSN preferred.
• Valid CT RN license and BLS certification.
• Proficient with electronic health records and internet literature searches.
• Experience in peri-operative care preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient condition throughout the continuum of care.
• Develop and document a Plan of Care with patient and family involvement.
• Coordinate and implement the Plan of Care with the healthcare team.
• Evaluate outcomes and revise the plan as needed.
• Serve as Preceptor to new staff and as Charge Nurse when required.
• Ensure smooth operation of the department and accurate OR records.
