Job summary

Yale NewHaven Health’s Bridgeport Hospital seeks an experienced surgical services leader with at least 3–5 years of intraoperative RN experience. The role involves planning, directing and coordinating nursing care in surgical subspecialties, and collaborating with Nurse Manager to maintain standards, budget resources, and materials management.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• Licensed in Connecticut as a Registered Nurse with current BCLS certification.
• Bachelors degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Implements intra-operative nursing care per division standards and regulatory requirements.
• Organizes specialty program modification and development to meet departmental goals.
• Directs and coordinates nursing care activities of surgical specialty services.
• Maintains credentialing and completes CEUs annually (10 CEUs).
• Ensures timely completion of scheduled cases and coordination with staff and surgeons.
