UK Chandler Hospital, Center for Advanced Surgery, is offering a six-month perioperative nurse internship with on-the-job training to perform limited scrub duties and extensive circulation duties in perioperative services.

RN experience preferred (excluding OR); new graduate RNs are encouraged to apply. Successful candidates must commit to a minimum of 18 months after completion and may work a variety of shifts across days of the week.

Qualifications

• Assess, document, plan, implement, teach, develop and evaluate a comprehensive nursing plan of care.
• Deliver direct patient care.
• Ensure patient satisfaction.
• Train and delegate duties for Nursing Care Technicians.
• Adhere to University policies and federal/state/local regulations.

Responsabilités

• Provide total, comprehensive, continuous and patient-centered care.
• Assess, document, plan and implement nursing care as part of the perioperative team.
• Deliver direct patient care in a complex surgical setting.
• Support collaborative care with nurses and physicians to improve outcomes.
