Job summary

Provident Behavioral Health is seeking a Nurse Educator for Preop and PACU to design, deliver, and evaluate clinical education that advances perioperative care. You will lead orientation, competency development, and ongoing training for nursing staff, integrating evidence-based practice and patient safety into education.

Collaborating with clinical leaders, you will assess learning needs, develop education plans, and provide bedside coaching to strengthen skills and teamwork, driving quality

Qualifications

• Strong perioperative nursing knowledge with expertise in pre-op and PACU workflows.
• Experience teaching or training clinical staff, including competency assessment.
• Working knowledge of evidence-based practice and patient safety principles.
• Excellent communication, facilitation, and coaching skills.
• Ability to collaborate with leaders and drive quality initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Lead orientation, competency development, and ongoing training for nursing staff.
• Integrate evidence-based practice, perioperative safety standards, and new technologies into education.
• Assess learning needs and develop education plans that support quality improvement initiatives.
• Provide bedside coaching and mentorship to strengthen clinical skills and teamwork.
• Partner with clinical leaders to promote patient-centered, collaborative care and improved patient outcomes.
