Job summary

Indiana University Health System is seeking a PREOP/GI Clinical RN to support patients throughout the perioperative and procedural continuum, including GI teching, circulation, bronchoscopy support, anesthesia assistance, and post‑procedure recovery.

The role requires an ASN (BSN preferred) and an active IN RN license or NLC, with BLS and other advanced Life Support certifications as needed. Expect two 24‑hour weekend call shifts every six weeks and a $30,000 sign‑on bonus for eligible RNs.

Qualifications

• ASN required; BSN preferred.
• Active Indiana RN license or eligible via NLC.
• BLS certification (AHA) required.
• Graduation from a nationally accredited nursing program.
• ACLS or other advanced Life Support may be required per unit.

Responsibilities

• Assist GI physician during procedures.
• Maintain and manage endoscopy equipment and scopes.
• Perform scope cleaning and reprocessing per standards.
• Circulate GI, surgical and bronchoscopy cases.
• Assist anesthesia with airway management and positioning.
• Complete intra‑procedural documentation.
• Prepare patients and assist with nerve blocks using ultrasound.
• Post‑procedure recovery and patient education.
• Bronchoscopy support: sedation, specimen handling, equipment readiness.
• Participate in call rotations (two 24‑hour weekend shifts every six weeks).
