Job summary

Penn Medicine in Philadelphia is hiring an Environmental Services Associate for the PeriOp Technical Admin HUP area, 40 hours per week, day shift. You will maintain cleanliness and environmental standards across ORs, labs, and support spaces, and support infection control through proper PPE and cleaning protocols.

The role requires attention to detail, teamwork with perioperative staff, and adherence to HIPAA and safety policies.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED is required.
• Equivalent work experience is acceptable in lieu of a degree.

Responsibilities

• Maintains environmental sanitation and PPE practices per infection control policies.
• Prepares cleaning solutions and cleans equipment; restocks supplies.
• Cleans and disinfects the ORs and perioperative areas, including equipment and surfaces.
• Transports patient items and supports perioperative patient care as needed.
• Follows hand hygiene, HIPAA, and safety protocols and coordinates with staff.
