Qualifications

• BSN is required for this role.
• Current RN licensure in state is required.
• BLS certification through AHA or ARC.
• ACLS certification within 6 months if performing sedation.
• Two years perioperative experience in circulating/OR.
• Demonstrated clinical expertise and patient care competence.
• Knowledge of adult learning theory and teaching strategies.
• Proficiency with Epic/Optime and MS Office suite.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement orientation for new hires.
• Assist in assigning unit preceptors.
• Assist in interviewing new caregivers.
• Complete probationary performance evaluations for new hires.
• Coordinate continuing education and staff development.
• Collaborate with local colleges and universities on education programs.
• Perform patient care up to 20% of time to demonstrate clinical competence and teach others.
• Ensure caregiver compliance with regulatory requirements and training (CPR/ACLS, fire safety, HIPAA, TB testing).
