Job summary

Atlas Healthcare Partners’ MultiCare Surgery Center - Yakima Orthopedics in Yakima, WA, seeks an experienced Registered Nurse for the OR team. The role involves assessment, planning, and delivery of perioperative nursing care in a fast-paced orthopedic setting.

Responsibilities include forming and implementing care plans, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team, and ensuring accurate documentation and communication for safe patient transitions.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree or Diploma in Nursing, or higher.
• Must possess a current, valid RN license in state of practice, temporary RN license in state of practice, or compact RN licensure for current state of practice.
• BLS and ACLS required.
• PALS certification required within 90 days of start date if assigned ASC services pediatrics.
• Core (FT/PT): Minimum one-year licensed RN experience in OR (other procedural areas consider with Support Center Clinical Educator approval) Licensed RN with no experience in OR and enrolled in PeriOp101 program with successful completion within 4 months.

Responsibilities

• Assesses patient physical, psychological, social, spiritual, educational, developmental, cultural and discharge planning needs.
• Formulates a plan of care, including discharge planning, with realistic, measurable goals in collaboration with patient/family.
• Implements the plan of care through direct patient care, coordination, delegation and supervision of the health care team.
• Evaluates patient progress toward goals and outcomes with the care team and patient/family.
• Documents assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation in the patient record with timely, legible notes.
• Provides care based on evidence and may participate in research; supports education and mentorship of staff.
