Job summary

Overlake Medical Center and Clinics in Bellevue, WA is seeking Patient Care Technicians (CNA) for our Perioperative Care Unit. This role provides direct patient care to patients and families under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.

Position is 0.8 FTE (32 hours per week) with evenings; 8- or 12-hour shifts, schedule TBD. Requires NA-C and MA-R licensure; CPR certification; hospital CNA experience preferred; strong communication and terminology skills.

Qualifications

• Nursing Assistant Certification (NA-C) required.
• High school graduate or equivalent required.
• Completion of a Certified Nursing Assistant Training Program or equivalent documented nursing training experience.
• 1+ year working in a hospital environment as a CNA strongly preferred.
• Medical Assistant Registered (MA-R) also required (Overlake Hospital will sponsor this licensure upon hire).
• Health Care Provider CPR Certification required.
• One year recent experience in a health care setting involving patient contact preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and computer familiarity is preferred.
• Excellent customer service, oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• The CNA provides direct patient care to patients and their families under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.
• May perform related perioperative support tasks as assigned by the RN.
