Job summary

BayCare is seeking an OR Care Tech at Mease Countryside in Safety Harbor for a full-time role. Responsibilities include direct and indirect patient care under an RN, handling supplies and equipment, and assisting in the operating room and recovery area.

The position emphasizes preparation for surgery and maintaining sterilized instruments. Required BLS, high school diploma or equivalent, with preferred technical training or degree and up to one year of perioperative care experience.

Qualifications

• BLS (Basic Life Support) is required.
• High School or Equivalent is required.
• Preferred - Technical Program Completion or Degree.
• Preferred - 1 year of procedural and/or perioperative in-patient care.

Responsibilities

• Perform direct and indirect patient care tasks under the direction of and oversight of an RN.
• Responsible for supplies/equipment and performs other duties including preparation of patients for surgery.
• Assist in the operating room during surgery and in the recovery room.
• Perform support duties including cleaning and maintenance of supplies, instruments and sterilizers.
