Valley Baptist - Harlingen hospital is seeking a Perioperative Support role to assist in the operating room and related patient care areas. The successful candidate will work under the OR staff and charge nurse to maintain a safe, clean perioperative environment.

Responsibilities include terminal cleaning, room turnover, patient transport, and specimen delivery, with PPE and standard precautions prioritized. A high school diploma or GED is required, and AHA BLS is mandatory.

Qualifications

• Required: AHA BLS.

Responsabilités

• Performs direct and indirect patient care in the Perioperative setting under the direction of the charge nurse and OR staff.
• Performs terminal cleaning of the operating room and prepares rooms for new patients.
• Cleans and remakes patient stretchers and beds; restocks and maintains assigned areas.
• Participates in OR suite turnovers between cases.
• Delivers specimens, labs, and blood to and from the OR; transports patients as directed by a nurse.
• Follows Standard Precautions using PPE as required by policy.
• All other duties as assigned.
