Job summary

Springfield Memorial Hospital is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant for its Pre-Anesthesia Testing Team. This is a full-time, day-shift position that facilitates comprehensive pre-operative evaluations and coordinates care under physician supervision.

You will collaborate with anesthesia and surgical teams, document in the EMR, teach wellness, and contribute to systemwide perioperative readiness in alignment with Memorial Health values.

Qualifications

• APRN or PA license in Illinois with CPR and ACLS where required.
• DEA license must be obtained if not held at hire, within 3 months.
• Experience as an advanced practice provider preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs comprehensive pre-operative evaluations in PAT Clinic.
• Manages protocol-driven care and coordinates surgical readiness.
• Documents care in the EMR and communicates with care teams.
• Collaborates with anesthesia and physicians to optimize patient outcomes.
• Provides education on prevention, wellness, and follow-up.
