Job summary

Pediatrix Medical Group seeks a Chief Sonographer to lead a team of diagnostic ultrasound professionals in perinatal care. The role includes overseeing quality control, equipment maintenance, PACS administration, and ensuring ICAEL standards are met.

The candidate will supervise exams, document findings, coordinate schedules, and participate in staff development. A strong background in OB/GYN or Maternal-Fetal Medicine is required, with ARDMS OB/GYN or FE certification preferred and CPR

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited sonography program with degree in ultrasonography or equivalent.
• Maintain ARDMS certification and OB/GYN or FE eligibility/certification within 12 months of hire.
• Provide evidence of continuing education credits to fulfill accreditation requirements.
• Fetal Echo experience preferred.
• CPR certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a team of diagnostic ultrasound sonographers in perinatal care.
• Provide preliminary reports and assist with procedures.
• Oversee preventative maintenance and quality control of ultrasound equipment.
• Manage PACS oversight and ensure ICAEL standards are maintained.
• Orient new sonographers and participate in staff development.
• Coordinate ultrasound schedule and workflow; ensure documentation is complete and compliant.
