Job summary

Phoenix Children's Hospital, Inc. seeks a Diagnostic Ultrasound supervisor to perform ultrasound examinations and oversee daily technical operations, ensuring quality and compliance with standards.

The role includes budget oversight, quality control, and inventory management within Radiology. The candidate should have an ACR-accredited ultrasound program with five years of ultrasound experience, two years supervisory experience, and pediatric imaging expertise, plus current BLS and RDMS.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of ACR accredited Ultrasound program.
  • Five years recent ultrasound experience including radiation safety.
  • Two years supervisory experience.
  • One year pediatric imaging experience.
  • Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
  • Current RDMS registration in Abdominal, Vascular or Neuro.
  • Tier I: Registration in one of the three above.
  • Tier II: Registration in two of the three above.
  • Tier III: Registration in three of the above.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnostic Ultrasound: Performs a variety of Diagnostic Ultrasound procedures as requested by physicians and providers.
  • Oversee staff schedules and work activities to achieve goals; provide guidance and mentorship.
  • Equipment: Manage equipment and coordinate service as needed.
  • Participate in hospital/department quality initiatives and drive process improvements.
  • Represent Radiology professionally and interact with patients, families and staff.
  • Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned.
