Job summary

AdventHealth in Shawnee Mission, Kansas, seeks a perinatal ultrasound technologist to optimize imaging, assess fetal development, and support OB/GYN procedures. You will perform thorough exams, communicate findings to the team, and maintain patient safety and documentation.

Requirements include 3+ years in perinatal sonography, ARDMS/ARRT in OB/GYN preferred, BLS, and access to continuing education. Join a faith-based health system committed to compassionate care.

Responsibilities

Job Description

• Optimizes ultrasound settings for accurate image acquisition.
• Differentiates normal from abnormal fetal anatomic development.
• Identifies sonographic markers indicative of aneuploidy.
• Demonstrates knowledge of biotechnological and biomedical sciences relevant to sonography.
• Applies biomedical knowledge to patient care during sonographic procedures.
• Conducts thorough and precise ultrasound examinations.
• Communicates findings effectively to healthcare providers.
• Maintains patient comfort and safety during ultrasound procedures.
• Keeps accurate and detailed patient records.
• Collaborates with medical team to provide comprehensive care.
• Participates in continuing education to stay current with sonographic practices.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

• Demonstrates ability to communicate by reading, writing legibly, speaking, and comprehending English effectively to carry out job requirements [Required]

Education

• High School Grad or equiv [Required]
• Technical/Vocational School [Required]
• Field of Study: Graduation from a school of Diagnostic Medical Sonography

Work Experience

• 3+ experience in perinatal sonography [Required]
• Clinical ultrasound/vascular experience as approved by the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in OB/Gyn [Required]
• Maternal Fetal Medicine Sonography Experience [Preferred]
