Truman Medical Centers is seeking a passionate RN to join the Perinatal Services team, covering Labor & Delivery, Antepartum, and Postpartum areas at University Health Truman Medical Center in Kansas City, MO. You’ll mentor peers, help shape care standards, and advance as a clinical leader while delivering compassionate, evidence-based care.

This role requires Missouri RN licensure, BLS/ACLS/NRP, and fetal monitoring certification with the ability to work a 6:45PM–7:15AM schedule for a 36-hour

Qualifications

Degree in Nursing from an accredited program.
Active Missouri RN License in good standing.
BLS, ACLS, and NRP certification (current).
Completion of AWHONN Fetal Monitoring Course.
Clinical confidence in Labor, Delivery, Recovery, Postpartum, and OB triage.

Responsibilities

Provide hands-on nursing care through every stage of the childbirth journey.
Perform assessments, develop care plans, and advocate fiercely for your patients.
Be a go-to resource and mentor for new nurses, supporting onboarding, skills testing, and professional development.
Collaborate with a tight-knit interdisciplinary team to deliver safe, compassionate, and evidence-based care.
Participate in unit committees, education initiatives, research, and quality improvement projects.
Inspire students and model best practices for the next generation of nurses.
