Job summary

University Health Truman Medical Center in Kansas City, MO, is seeking a Perinatal Services RN in Labor & Delivery for the 6:45 PM–7:15 AM shift (36 hours/week). You will provide hands-on nursing care across triage, antepartum, labor, delivery and recovery to support families through the childbirth journey.

Required: MO RN license, BLS, ACLS, NRP, and AWHONN Fetal Monitoring; BSN preferred; RN specialty certification a plus; join a collaborative, mentoring team dedicated to beginning life.

Qualifications

• Degree in Nursing from an accredited program.
• Active Missouri RN License in good standing.
• BLS, ACLS, and NRP certification (current).
• Completion of AWHONN Fetal Monitoring Course.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional, hands-on nursing care through every stage of the childbirth journey.
• Perform thorough assessments, develop care plans, and advocate for patients.
• Mentor for new nurses, supporting onboarding and professional development.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to deliver safe, evidence-based care.
• Participate in committees, education initiatives, research, and quality improvement.
