Job summary

CHRISTUS Health in Mount Pleasant, TX is seeking a Perinatal RN to deliver nursing care in a perinatal setting, practicing independently with guidance from standard protocols and the ANA framework. Qualifications

• BSN preferred
• 1 year of experience in a related nursing specialty preferred
• BLS certification required
• RN license in state of employment or compact

Responsibilities

• Provides nursing care utilizing the nursing process (assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, evaluation) for assigned patients.
• Administers medications and treatments; monitors for side-effects and effectiveness of the treatment prescribed.
• Documents patient history, symptoms, medication, and care given.
• Addresses learning needs and provides education to patients, family members and/or care givers; identify issues and resources.
• Makes appropriate assignments and delegates to other care providers as a means to help manage the clinical situation.

Education

Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing

1 year of experience in the related nursing specialty
