Job summary

Wellstar Health System seeks an experienced RN Assistant Nurse Manager to support the nurse manager on a unit, mentor staff, and drive clinical and financial outcomes. Strong communication and teamwork are essential as you lead daily operations and coach others.

You will partner with multidisciplinary teams to promote evidence-based practice, staff development, and high-quality patient care while aligning with organizational goals and standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s nursing degree required.
• RN license in a single state or compact license.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• National certification in nursing administration preferred.
• Minimum 3 years of clinical nursing experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist nurse manager and lead unit staff to deliver patient care.
• Promote shared governance and staff engagement in decision making.
• Coach and mentor nursing staff to support professional growth.
• Collaborate with physicians and other departments to ensure high-quality outcomes.
• Support budget development and monitor unit financial performance.
• Lead quality and safety initiatives and ensure regulatory compliance.
