Job summary

The Peer Company (TPC) is seeking a Peer Support Specialist to provide peer support and recovery mentorship for pregnant and/or parenting individuals with SUD, working with the MEADOWLARK program at OHSU. The role includes meeting participants in clinical and community settings to support self-directed recovery goals and to connect them with resources.

Responsibilities include developing PDPs with participants, assisting with research activities, and collaborating with inter-disciplinary teams

Qualifications

• Identifies as having lived experience with recovery from SUD or mental health challenges.
• Understands trauma-informed care and recovery principles.
• Lived experience related to pregnancy/parenting and DHS involvement preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of continuous addiction recovery experience if identifying with SUD.
• Prior recovery peer mentoring or birth/postpartum doula experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 peer support to participants as part of the MEADOWLARK program.
• Help participants develop Person Directed Plans for recovery goals.
• Participate in peer support supervision sessions and team meetings.
• Assist with research activities (surveys, data entry, visit logging).
• Meet participants in clinical, home, and community settings to support recovery and maternity care.
