Job summary

Beth Israel Lahey Health's Antepartum/Postpartum Unit at BIDMC is seeking a Patient Care Technician to join a collaborative inpatient team delivering high-quality, family-centered care for antepartum and postpartum patients and their newborns.

In this role, you will assist with activities of daily living, monitor vital signs, document observations, support admissions and discharges, and help keep the environment safe, clean, and compassionate while working closely with nurses and the care team.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• 0-1 years related work experience required.
• Basic familiarity with computers.
• Ability to navigate at a basic level within web-based applications.

Responsibilities

• Collaborates with a registered nurse on developing a patient's care plan.
• Develops and maintains competencies as delegated by a registered nurse.
• Maintains the safety of patients identified at risk for preventable injury by nursing safety interventions or protective devices under supervision.
• Reports all patient activity to the registered nurse in a timely manner.
